Farmer participation guidelines

Your badge identifies you as a verified farmer, and your answers to member questions are some of the most valuable content on FieldToKitchen. Answer what you know: your practices, your products, your prices, how buying from you works, and general expertise from your side of the fence.

Two principles:

1. Speak for your own farm and your own knowledge. You're the authority on what you do. On what other farms do, you're a neighbor, not a referee.
2. Never respond to complaints in a thread. If a member raises a problem involving your farm, our process handles it and brings it to you directly with a right to respond. This isn't a restriction, it's protection: you'll never need to defend your farm in public in front of an audience, because that conversation happens with us, with facts, first.
