About the Farm
John and Keri Giuliano
Kiernan Farm is a second-generation, family-run farm in the Hudson Valley. The Kiernan family took ownership of the 140-acre farm in 1982, began raising 100% grass-fed beef in 2005, and now also operates Bruynswick Winery and a wedding and events venue on the same preserved farmland. The farm’s land has been in continuous agricultural production for centuries and was protected as open space in 2011.
The rundown
Kiernan Farm raises 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef in Gardiner, New York, in the Hudson Valley. Their Angus-Hereford cattle are raised and finished on grass, follow rotational grazing, and are never grain-finished. They receive no antibiotics, hormones, or steroids. The beef is dry-aged the old-fashioned way to deepen its flavor, then frozen and vacuum-sealed. Customers can buy by the cut or by the share, from a single pound to a whole cow.
